Jesus is coming back

Jesus is coming back

In Matthew 24:42

Jesus compares his return to a “thief in the night” because none knows the day that God reserved for his coming. This statement does not apply to God’s people according to Paul that called them brethren (1 Thessalonians 5:1).

Paul explains that God’s people have the Light and do not live in darkness. The “Light” (Holy Spirit) reveals secrets that God allows people to know but these mysteries just make sense to those who obey and fear him. Even though God`s people do not know the day and time that Jesus is set to return, it does not mean the Lord will come as a “thief” for them.

Jesus Coming

…and it can happen anytime. According to scholars, all the prophecies as already been fulfilled. Taking this subject into consideration and how believers must behave, the apostles taught the church how everyone must see themselves and act in favor of God’s word.

The Lord Jesus gave his people many instructions and clues about when this will happen, then it will not be a surprise for those who love him and wait for him. God in his mercy always alerts those who are in darkness. God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah but before this event happen the Lord gave them an example of how a family has to behave in this world.

A perfect example

God spared one family because they feared Him according to the Old Testament.

In that land, there was a family who fears Him and for the sake of Lot He spares that land for a time but the people of that land did not appreciate Lot’s family and how they make business and live in the city. Lot’s family was a perfect example for those people to follow but they preferred the “darkness” to the “light”. When the wrath of God approached that place he sent angels to rescue Lot’s family and the city was destroyed by His power.

The same thing he did when Noah was living in the land surrounded by ungodly people. God always delivers those who fear and obey him. There are cases where God shows his mercy with a city and this is the example of Jonah. God sent the prophet to Nineveh and everyone repented of their sins. The Lord did not destroy that land but showed how merciful he is with those who recognize their sins and turn to Him. Today God is using the church to proclaim his salvation plan through Jesus’ sacrifice and unfortunately, just a few believe in this prophecy.

Is Jesus Coming Back Soon?

One of the requirements for Jesus’ coming is to fulfill all the prophecies in the Bible. The two most important are the return of the people of Israel to their land in 1948 and the Gospel being preached to the entire world. These prophecies are already fulfilled then his coming can be at any moment. But remember our time is ticking differently from God’s watch. Even if this generation does not experience his coming sure will experience the encounter with him when death takes action. Those who believed him and followed his path the death will not have total power over them because Christ promised that if someone believes him will never die.

Signs of the Second Coming

Jesus coming is a promise. God planned salvation for the entire mankind, and none will be able to avoid this event by saying that they do not believe. The only hope is Jesus and there is no salvation in other gods or men. Be ready! Accepting Jesus is not only a decision but a step toward a new faith but an attitude to change for the better. ///////

It’s in the Bible.  “As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. ‘Tell us,’ they said, ‘when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and the end of the age?’”  (Matthew 24:3, NKJV)

Jesus did not inform them about the date and time but provided some clues. He said that some disaster would precede his coming such as false prophets, wars, rumors of war, persecution, and many other unpleasable desires. All these things already happened including the return of the Jews to Israel.  The return of the Jews to the homeland in 1948 is one of the signs. Jesus said “From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near. So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, at the very gates. Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. (Matthew 24:32-35).

Sonner according to God’s eyes the King of kings will be back to this world in great power and wonders. Be ready for his coming or your departure because this will be the most precious thing that will happen to everyone.
