Is the Angel of death real or not?

In 2nd Kings 19:35, the scripture says: “And that night the angel of the Lord went out and struck down 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians. And when people arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies.”

Is the Angel of death real or not? For thousands of years, the human race always believed that exists a specific angel that can kill any living being on the earth. Not different from today. It is not quite sure if exist or not exist “the angel of death” but the Bible has some references about a spiritual being killing some enemies of Israel. The book of Exodus 12 says that the Egyptians were struck down with the action of one angel who was looking for the firstborn in every house. Israel did not suffer the same curse because God-oriented Moses to advise the Israelites to mark their house with blood on their outside door. When the angel of the Lord approached their houses, he did not go inside. There are many other examples in the Bible where the angel of the Lord came with the mission to kill. If there is no angel of death, why the Bible says that “DEATH” is the last enemy that will be destroyed? – “then death and grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death.” (Revelation 20:14).
Believe in Jesus
Why did Jesus say the following words to Martha? “Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never die.” (John 11:26). It is a mystery. How this can be? Where are the disciples and all those Christians who believed him? As far as the story tells, in many books, some of them were killed because of the Gospel of Jesus.
Mind body spirit
When someone dies, there is a separation from mind-body, and spirit. The body goes to dust and the mind stays with the spirit. To die is just another process in this life. When Jesus said that to Martha, the person does not die spiritually. He means that someone who believes him will find him when the spirit leaves the body. The person will find light and peace in Jesus. Those who do not believe, it is possible, will see darkness and a demon (fallen angel) to come to their encounter. In this case, a demon who is a fallen angel can be called the angel of death but never has the authority to kill someone without God’s permission. The process of dying with Jesus is something so special and wonderful that makes someone who is being killed forgive the aggressor. There are some clear examples in the Bible. The first case was Jesus he said “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” Luke 23:34 and the other example is Stephen who had his spiritual eyes opened before they start stoning him to death. He said, “Look, I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing in the place of honor at God’s right hand!” Acts 7:56. They dragged Stephen out of the city and began to stone him and he said “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” Acts 7:59.
There is no condemnation
According to the New Testament, there is no angel of death or anything scary for those who die with Jesus. This is the hope for those who trust him and the certainty that they will live forever in peace with Jesus. There is no condemnation for those who accept Jesus as their personal savior.
Church of Jesus Christ
If you did not have this experience to have Jesus in your heart, the only thing you have to do is to open it for him. Call him and ask him to forgive your sins and live a new life with him. When your time has come, you will enjoy eternity with him forever and in peace. Church of Jesus Christ is everywhere, look for one that you feel at home and make new friends with people who has the same value as you. God bless you!
