Holy Spirit

Holy Spirit

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Acts 1:08

The Holy Spirit is the third person in the Trinity: God Father, God Son, and God Spirit. All three members consist of just one God. To explain this divinity is not difficult. To put it another way, it is very easy to understand.  God is a title for the Trinity and this clarifies everything. The human race gets confuses because it is hard to understand the fact that one being is three people. For instance, thinking about one person being divided into three, it is hard to imagine. That is to say, they can’t sustain this condition. In other words, if anyone accepts the fact that God is a title for the three members then it is more understandable.

Jesus confirmed that he and the Father are one (John 10:30).  Jesus also gave another example about when a couple gets married saying:  “Since they are no longer two but one, let no one split apart what God has joined together” (Mathew 19:06). What’s more, this is not the only evidence that supports this conclusion. For instance, Stephen is another proof that compels acceptance by the mind of a fact. Stephen was a godly man who preached the message in a loud voice. Prior to his assassination, the Bible says: “But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed steadily into heaven and saw the glory of God, and he saw Jesus standing in the place of honor at God’s right hand. And he told them, ‘Look, I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing in the place of honor at God’s right hand!’ ” (Acts 7:55-56).

What did Stephen see? He saw the Son of Man (Jesus). What Jesus was doing? He was standing in the place of honor at God’s right hand. How many members did Stephen saw in heaven? Stephen saw two members: God Father and God Son.

Where is the third member of the trinity? He was with Stephen in this world. Jesus said in John 16:7-8 “But in fact, it is best for you that I go away because if I don’t, the Advocate (Holy Spirit) won’t come. If I do go away, then I will send him to you. And when he comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment. God Holy Spirit was with Stephen and he preached exactly what Jesus foretold before going to heaven.

Holy Ghost

The Holy Ghost and the Holy Spirt have the same terms. One derives from Old English GAST and the other LOANWORD SPIRITUS from Latin. One can call Holy Ghost and other Holy Spirit and it will not change anything. Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit is one of the members of the Trinity since eternity.

Holy Spirit

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit all three have the same desire, which makes it easy to draw definite conclusions. With this in mind, anyone can understand that they are united in one. In every plan or steps that they take.  Jesus did his job dying on the cross; God did his part to forgiving the entire world because the sacrifice of Jesus and the Holy Spirit came to comfort God’s children and convict the world of its sins. How long the Holy Spirit will be in this world? The Holy Spirit will be in this world until the rapture of the church.  This is the next big event that will occur in this world.

Baptize in the Holy Spirit

It means to receive the Holy Spirit anywhere in the world. The Holy Spirit came first in Jerusalem as Jesus foretold: “And now I will send the Holy Spirit, just as my Father promised. But stay here in Jerusalem until the Holy Spirit comes and fills you with power from heaven.” (Luke 24:49). It is not necessary to be baptized in the waters first in order to receive the Holy Spirit. A person when accepts Jesus in his heart automatically receives the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit helps all those who need his assistance and leads them to the right path.
