He is back
Today is Sunday and he is back to stay forever among us.
Two thousand years ago the world witnessed one of the most horrible crimes against humanity, killing an innocent man was the only solution to stop him from preaching the Good News. Jesus of Nazareth was not an average man who was born in a manger, but he was the chosen one by God. The most blessing thing that one may wish happened on that day on the cross: The Freedom. Jesus died for all men and brought salvation to the whole world.
Jesus messages consist of 5 major things
1- Salvation to all mankind
2- Peace
3- Love
4- Forgiveness
5- Grace
Salvation to all mankind
It was because of one man, Adam, that sin came into the world. Death was the result of Adam’s sin. Because of that, death came to all people, because everyone failed to obey God. (Romans 05:17)
Does not matter how good people may think they are, the truth about it is that everyone is a sinner and need God’s grace to fix their situation before Him. Jesus died for the world and gave his life to rescue every single human being.
Peace
I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth, you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)
What kind of peace is Jesus talking about? He said, “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me.” Very after that, He said “Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
You go through pain in this world and face all kinds of problems, this is a fact. You may go through pain in trials or sorrows. Trials are when your faith is being tested and by your testimony, people come to God. Sorrow is when you make mistakes and sin against God and it leads you to a disaster or close to it. For both occasions, the real peace never leaves because Jesus died with this purpose to clean all sins and bring back humanity to God. (Isaiah 26:03) says “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!”
You may commit mistakes or go into trials, but Jesus is always on your side to forgive and help you to come back into his path.
Love
But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were sinners. (Romans 05:08)
This verse is very clear, God loves his creation, and all men are important to him. The law is very strict to everyone and justice is right. God saw that none were capable to overcome the sin and by law, everyone should perish in hell. Because his love is so great, He surrenders his own Son to die in favor of the entire world, including people who hate Him. Jesus paid for all sins that humanity caused and will cause against God.
Forgiveness
But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. (1 John 01:09).
God is good but his forgiveness requires something in exchange. God requires life in obedience and mercy. Everyone must forgive those who hate and persecute them.
After His goodness follows the justice. If a man abuses God’s mercy he may suffer the justice of God which can condemn him to hell or a severe punishment in this world. (Galatians 06:07-09) says “Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. Those who live only to satisfy their sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.”
All people when they surrender their life to Jesus must be able to exercise this skill, forgiveness is not easy, and it requires a lot from some people. Remember, when you forgive all those pains that someone may cause to you will vanish day by day and freedom will take control of your life.
Grace
God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. (Ephesians 02:08)
The word grace means to receive something free. It means that there is nothing else you can do to reach Salvation except through Jesus. When you believe in Jesus and surrender your life to him you conquer the right to be called a child of God. In 1 John 05:01 says “Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has become a child of God. And everyone who loves the Father loves his children, too.”
The Grace of God is so wonderful that everyone can take advantage of it. You may be rich or poor the Grace is available for both. Old or young Jesus is for all!
Change your life today
One old English Proverb says, “Never put off to tomorrow what you can do today.” This proverb portrays a typical belief that tomorrow is better than today. Your tomorrow depends on what you are doing today, and it is a fact. Tomorrow for some people will never come because of many reasons and two of the most common are laziness for projects or death. Take an example about the plans you made in the past regarding your health, diet, exercise, etc. The saddest thing that is buried in the cemetery is those decisions that were not taken because of “Tomorrow.” Books that were never written, houses that were never built, a broken relationship that was not reestablished, courses and training that was not achieved, and many other things.
Do not miss the chance today to accept Jesus and follow him. Do not let tomorrow rob you of what you can have today.
Jesus indeed died for you, but it is extremely important to pay attention to everything He taught to his Church. There is nothing better than to be Jesus’ follower. You do not know about tomorrow but today you can get or learn anything.
You have the power to maneuver any disaster or bad luck that may come tomorrow. Once you start loving Jesus and following him your life will change for the better. Jesus is not religion, but he is what He says that He is, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”
